Genuine staff who care and great doctor who listens and very personable. Easy for me to relay my issues. Thank you!! The entire experience from my first initial visit to my surgery was amazing. Everyone is involved and so caring and they made me feel very relaxed and calmed my anxiety about it. I couldn't have asked for any better treatment than what I received. Thank you so much everything. You have an amazing team and my doctor and the only thing I can say anymore is don't change a thing!!

Each time I have ever gone to black hills orthopedic center which has been twice, has been a pleasant experience. Everyone very friendly and helpful. I felt very comfortable talking to the nurse that helped get all information she needed for surgery. Very professional and helpful. Lots of information to take in but also very helpful at the same time.

My appointment was scheduled within a short time of making the request. I was seen promptly at the scheduled time. Dr. Guiseffi was congenial, showed me the areas of concern on the radiographic images and discussed surgical vs nonsurgical options. He answered my questions and seemed genuinely interested in helping me. I am very satisfied.

They set the bar pretty high for other medical providers to try and follow. Super convenient, friendly, and professional and truly care about the well being of their patient. Heather Rice-PA, and Dr. Giuseffi have exceeded my expectations. I can’t say enough how thankful I am for entire team at Black Hills Orthopedic and Spine for their genuine concern and care for my well being. Well done, and thank you!

I had a pretty terrible experience here. This is long but worth the read. I started having severe pain in my thigh and calf area in June. I saw my chiropractor for about a month, which I realized wasn’t helping and decided to make an appointment here to get some help. The doctor wasn’t very pleasant, made multiple jokes about chiropractic work, and insisted it wasn’t my back or spine and that I had pulled my hamstring. Didn’t really make a lot of sense, but him being the doctor, I decided to trust his word and went on to physical therapy for 6 weeks like he recommended. From the beginning of physical therapy, my therapist told me she did not think it was my hamstring. She expressed over and over that what I was experiencing was nerve pain and that it was most likely coming from my back. I did the exercises she recommended every day, but noticed it wasn’t helping a whole lot. Which was no fault of hers, she tried to help me the best she could and finally referred me to the spine center. At my last physical therapy appointment, I had checked in and paid my copay like usual, and was told by the receptionist that I owed $187. I was confused as I had not received anything from my insurance, and was about to just pay it, but decided (thank God) to wait and talk to billing. The doctor from my initial appointment had put in his notes that he gave me not only and x ray of my leg, but also an x ray of my back which was NOT true. I told the billing lady that, which she looked into and agreed that he never gave me the x ray. Had I not questioned the bill, I would have overpaid them by almost $150. Makes me wonder how many other mistakes they make that people don’t catch and just pay. I found it very disturbing. I understand mistakes happen but how do you mistakenly say you gave someone a x ray that they never got? Not only that, but as I am writing this review, I am in the worst, most excruciating pain I’ve ever felt. Luckily I’m able to get in tomorrow instead of next week to see the spine specialist, because I am miserable and this is impacting my every day life. Literally in tears right now. If he would have taken the time to properly diagnose my issue from the beginning, I wonder if I would be okay right now. Hoping the damage isn’t irreversible at this point! Such a shame. At the very least, please make sure you ask for a breakdown of your bill before paying! I almost lost out on my grocery money for the week.
